Further evidence of the subtle electromagnetic forces throughout the human body is seen when one looks at what happens when static magnetic fields are applied to the body or other biological systems. Trappier et al. published a study that looked at the effects of magnetic fields on human lung carcinoma (cancer) cells.8 When the cancer cells were exposed to the negative polarity of the north pole of a 3.5 kilogauss magnet, growth dramatically slowed, almost stopping completely after five days of exposure! Conversely, the positive polarity of the south pole of the same magnet measurably

accelerated the growth rate of the same cancer cells when exposed for a comparable period of time. The conclusion to be taken from this is that magnetic fields have definite effects on biological systems, and that the opposite poles of a static magnet can have opposite physiological effects.
Magnetic therapy is currently undergoing a wave of acceptance across the world, but many companies that produce magnets do not differentiate between the poles in their products. Avoid long-term exposure to the positive pole (south pole) of a magnet. The positive pole can encourage cancer growth, promote infection, and increase inflammation and pain. But the negative pole of a magnet can be a tremendous therapeutic tool, and it can exert supportive and strengthening effects on the immune system. If you are interested in biomagnetic therapies and are seeking a trustworthy source of information, check the resources listed in Appendix П. Finally, Davis and Rawls wrote a series of short books in the 1970s that details the tremendous potential of properly applied magnetic fields.9"12

you no matter how you eat or combine it, you should avoid it. But do not assume that one poorly digested food out of a group bars the whole group. You should not give up all meat because beef does not agree with you anymore than you should give up all vegetables because carrots do not agree with you. Poorly tolerated beef should not eliminate turkey, chicken, and lamb from your diet as well.
